This coating decreases the amount of water absorption during rain or snow, thus decreasing the tension in the wood. Sunlight will break down this coating over time, and wood will turn a gray color. To liven up your outdoor play item, simply add a new coat of stain to keep it looking new. Using our KidKraft tinted stain colors allows you to keep the exact color of the set. This combined stain and sealant is water-based and will protect your set from UV rays, mildew and moisture. It's been designed specifically for wooden outdoor items, providing rich color to extend the life of your product through the years. It's recommended to seal your playset or playhouse at least once a year.
